The Africa Museum is situated in beautiful forest surroundings. The municipality of Berg & Dal was voted Dutch walking municipality of the year in 2020. But it’s also a wonderful area to explore by bike, encompassing undulating forested landscapes as well as rolling meadows and farmland. After a visit to the museum you can borrow a bicycle and take to the road.
We have set out different cycling routes of between 7 and 13 kilometres incorporating various points of interest. Head for the highest point in the area, the Duivelsberg, wend your way through the vineyards of Groesbeek, visit the Canadian War Cemetery & Memorial or take a trip to the city centre of Nijmegen.
You can pick up a bicycle key at the entrance desk, along with a cycling helmet and a cycle map. Unfortunately, visitors cannot reserve a bicycle in advance. Loans depend on availability at the time.
